Having set up the bikes and equipment in the morning, we should be rolling by midday. The going is easy with nothing that one could describe as a hill, after all, it's our first day!
Our first stage is along the Via Verde to Santo Domingo de la Calzada. There's a story attached to the cathedral there which makes it an interesting visit. |

| Once we've had some lunch we can head for Haro, where the hotel Los Agustinos is a real treat. We dine in house, and it's worth mentioning that Spanish suppertime is even later than it is in France. Our usual dinner time will be nine o'clock |
